The renowned inspirational motivator and author Miss Nolwazi Portia Perfect Khuzwayo is a young single mother of one teenage boy who juggles between her current studies as a student teacher and fame around her book offerings. Born on the 01 January 1984 in the South Coast, Ndelu tribal area Umzumbe, Miss Khuzwayo has set a new perception around people living with disability. With both her hard-working parents present in her upbringing, you could say that Nolwazi had it all. Her mother who was an educator by profession was offered an opportunity to teach abroad, took this brave decision with her family’s full approval and support. This well-functioning family was soon hit with an unfortunate situation when Nolwazi’s father faced an involvement in a car accident which resulted in him becoming disabled , resulting in her mum’s return from Britain, where she was teaching, she had to unfortunately resign as well due to her problematic condition which lead her to be declared partially blind. Both Nolwazi’s parents where disabled including herself, Nolwazi’s dad was called to rest in 2003.
She describes her life at school as not good at all, as she was born with hard of hearing disability thus using hearing aids for survival. Her right ear is totally deaf and her left ear is partially deaf.
